@random my assumption is he still isn’t cleared to compete from whatever took him out of pfl x Bellator and therefore can’t compete in the regular season

Logan Storley, DEC
Musaev is a really good pickup by pfl. Hes super fun to watch but however I think this is a bad matchup. Storely is boring but he is very good at what he does. Hes basically a better version of chiesa; wet blanket wrestler with serviceable striking. He isn’t going to do much on the ground but he is very suppressive with his top control and will wrestle you for 25 minutes if needs be. Musaev more well rounded but I think he’s going to struggle with storely. Storely may be u assuming since he fought in bellator and has a terrible style, but I really think he would be like top 10 in the UFC
Braga vs. Gonzales
Gabriel Alves Braga, DEC
No easy fights for Gonzales I guess. My only knocks on Braga are that he has no finishing ability and can be hittable at times. Besides that, he is a technical who is incredibly well rounded. He picks you apart on the feet but can grind you out if he pleases
Yamauchi vs. Gracie II
Goiti Yamauchi, TKO, R1
I mean does this really need a rematch. First fight wasn’t even close
Jenkins vs. Kamaka III
Bubba Jenkins, DEC
Always thought Kai was overrated, never liked him in ufc either. He is a solid fighter but just really boring and also been getting a lot of fights he doesn’t deserve. He also got an insane robbery win last time out. I thought bubba was done after the Pineda fight but turn out Pineda is actually good. Still though, bubba has had a long career of always coming up short and he is 36, so makes you wonder if a decline is coming. Even an old bubba should still take this. He is a decent enough striker and still a really good wrestler
Borics vs. Barzola
Ádám Borics, DEC
Really happy to see Borics back, his fight against mads is a Bellator classic. He got destroyed in his last fight but some time off will be good. Hes a really good striker, ground game not great but he’s good at keeping it standing. Barzola is a jack of all trades; he is decent everywhere but has never ending cardio, so he uses that to push a pace. As a result, he’s able to keep up with better wrestlers than him and get into brawls with people without slowing down. He’s kind of like a better, Peruvian version of Billy q. Baezola’s cardio is going to make him a menace in this tourney but I think Borics is too sharp on the feet for him
Khizriev vs. Johns
Brett Johns, DEC
I hate kicking against khizriev but johns is no easy out. Khizriev has looked amazing, he’s shown a super well rounded skillset. Really good boxing and great wrestling, what he does best tho is how he mixes everything together. Johns can be boring at times but he is a very high level grappler. His top control is very good and he can outwrestle a lot of people. I’ll take a dog shot on him because I’m biased but a khizriev win won’t shorsie me
Staropoli vs. Ramazanov
Murad Ramazanov, SUB, R2
Doing staropoli dirty here. Ever since leaving the ufc he has looked a lot better. Still not very good, but instead of being a snoozefest cage pusher, all he does is brawl now. He has put on some pretty fun fights since leave but he’s still not great. Getting a tough out here against ramazanov as well. Not only is this guy going to be massive at 170, but he is a very good Dagi chain wrestler. I think he outmuscles and outwrestles Pepi with ease here
Juusola vs. Po****
Luca Po****, SUB, R2
Po**** should win this but who tf knows with juusola. He isn’t supposed to be here but has memed his way to a win twice now. I don’t rate pockit that highly but juusola is fighting above his skill level at the moment
Diamond vs. Rodrigues
Tyler Diamond, DEC
Tricky one. Rodrigues looks really good on paper but then you realize he has tons of gaps in his record and is like 35. Diamond isn’t very good and has been out through the wringer already. Movlid and louighane are two pretty tough outs. Diamond is very one dimensional, he’s a great wrestler and not much else. What’s concerning to me is how much damage he takes every fight. Even against the lower level guys like sungbin, he gets pieced up. He is a zombie and will just aggressive chain wrestle, but he doesn’t have a great chin and usually takes insane damage every fight. Despite this, Otto isn’t going to offer much on the feet and I think constantly having to chain wrestle will gas him out
Madge vs. Ward
Don Madge, SUB, R2
I guess Madge wins this one? Bro kinda just shows up to fight once in a blue moon; didn’t look very good in his last fight either. He was winning comfortably but it was a boring sparring match until he got caught. Now he’s going up a weight class against a brawler. Madge has better tools but who knows how he’s going to do being forced to fight. I think ward is pretty bad tho

Andrey Koreshkov, DEC
Not that high on unalatov. He is a striking dagi and his cardio is meh. He won’t death gas but he does slow after round 1. His striking is crisp early on but I think Koreshkov is way better. Especially with the spins, he calculates those well. Umalatov does have wrestling in his back pocket but it’s not amazing. I think Koreshkov puts a vet lesson on him
Loughnane vs. Carvalho
Brendan Loughnane, TKO, R2
I actually like this fight a lot. It’s a tuneup on paper but still somewhat fair as carvalho is better than his record shows. Hes had no easy fights but has gotten the occasional upset. Carvalho has just had a brutal schedule of fights and isn’t getting an easy one here. I will say, there is a chance loughnane is washed. He is 34, experienced burnout last fight, and just looked bad in general. The year before that, he had been having really close fights with everyone and not looking very good. I imagine time off allowed him to heal and get in the lab, but I do worry he shows up and fights to Pedro’s level. If he does, then we may very well get an upset here. I am expecting liguhnane to come in and steamroll carvalho tho

Andrey Koreshkov, DEC
I'm surprised that Umalatov is a decent favorite on Tap. He really hasn't fought anyone the caliber of Koreshkov, or the caliber that Koreshkov has fought. This should be a fun striking match on paper and I really hope it becomes that. However, when Andrey feels danger on the feet he tends to wrestle and he's not bad at it. If he doesn't totally gas out I think he gets a comfortable win. Umalatov could prove that he is on that level, but based on what we've seen so far I'm not picking it.
Loughnane vs. Carvalho
Brendan Loughnane, DEC
Pedro hits a hard ceiling when he fights upper tier fighters, and Loughnane is very good. This is slightly tougher because I feel Loughnane isn't super elite at any one skill so it could be a good matchup for Pedro, and he didn't look so good before his layoff. But I'll pick him because I do think he's the better fighter.

Logan Storley, DEC
Storley is criminally underrated, one of the best mma wrestlers out there so he can be a problem for absolutely anyone. That being said I have no idea about his opponent, so I might watch some tape and be more concerned after I do. His record certainly is nice and chiny.
Braga vs. Gonzales
Gabriel Alves Braga, DEC
I don't know if Braga has fought a wrestler like J-train before, but Justin looked pretty limited in has last fight. I think he was injured but it still makes me think twice. Braga is a good striker and has beaten guys like Chris Wade in the past.

Andrey Koreshkov
Koreshkov experience advantage, more technical on the feet. TDD not bad nowadays. Umalatov more powerful early but did gas in last fight. Can't see him cracking Koreshkov early that easily. Could wrestle bud can he get and control Koreshkov for long enough to avoid being outpointed on the feet.

Brendan Loughnane, TKO, R2
Loughane pretty accurate puncher, doesn't hit super hard but Carvalho is pretty chinny. Can see Pedro getting wobbled a few times and surviving for a bit but I think Brendan will get him out of there eventually. Carvalho is a dog so will fight hard and Brendan will have to put him out to get him to go away but I doubt he can impose a wrestling plan on him if people like Bubba and Wade couldn't and I think the chin gives out eventually.
