Paulo on that Secret Juice yet he's more calm and composed than Chimaev. Maybe I'm ******** but it appeared to me that Chimaev was actually enraged that Paulo didn't want to fight for free at the PI instead of for money in the Octagon. šŸ¤”

I see what Dana did here, he wants to see 2 UFC rebels get flatlined on their exit out of the UFC, and also giving Wolf to Dumont since sheā€™s been begging for a fight but doesnā€™t want to do him a ā€œfavorā€. Killing 3 birds in 1 card. Clever Dana clever

Anyone have thoughts on the Anhelinger vs Alateng fight? Alateng is out of Fight Ready, but Chad is on a big win streak

Well maybe not packed since theyā€™re the 4th fight on the card but still, the jitters will definitely be upon her. Dumont will see all the openings and just pick her apart, we may see a crucifix or leg kick TKO

I have Alateng in that one, heā€™s improved a lot. I like Anheliger be he somewhat struggled with a late notice Strader, Strader was in the fight up until the 3 rd round and I feel that was because Strader fatigued. The odds were like -115 to -100 in the middle of the 2nd round. Alateng will be more precise imo, heā€™s only loss to Casey Kenney since heā€™s been in the UFC with a victory over Batgerel Danaa

Alateng is actually good and much better than his record tbh. Anheliger beat a dude that was 5-2 and shouldn't be in the UFC (Strader). I believe his DWCS opponent was hurt when they fought, so his only good win is a very young Hiestand.

Chad is **** and 35, heili may not be great but heā€™s way more skilled. Idk how Chad was losing to strader; thatā€™s a red flag in and of itā€™s self

Iā€™m switching my pick for one reason. I rewatched Chadā€™s debut and was very unimpressed. Ultimately he got his KO but before he was probably losing to who I consider one of the lesser bantamweights in the ufc. I think Heili will get takedowns while also landing strikes to win a UD

I love D-Rod, but I don't think he's beating Holland. I think Holland is going to be too quick and elusive for Rodriguez. Also, Rodriguez unfortunately is getting up there in age with a long layoff. I think he still has the ability to get into the rankings for about a year or so, but I think we are going to see a major drop-off in performance in the next couple of years. Part of the reason why he fought so often was b/c he was 33/34 years old when he was fighting on short notice and knew that he would have to do that to quickly rise in the rankings before he got too old to fight.

Anyone know why Melissa Martinez has been out for 2 years and 9 months? Just watched all of her fights that I could find on youtube and she got some decent technique but she really wasn't in good shape for a fighter physically. High % body fat for such a young age (20-22 in those videos). Now at 25 it's impossible to know for sure how she'll look, 22 to 25 years of age could mean massive improvements to her game.
But not if she's been out due to injury(ies) that prevented her from even training properly.

the new Nate interview with Brett reminds me so much of Nick's, it's like they're slowly becoming the same person. anyways it doesn't give me any hope for this main event, and if Tony doesn't pick up a win this might be the saddest PPV for me since that Tito vs Chuck trilogy abomination.

Yeah I will definitely look at the weigh ins as always but almost 3 years out at that age is too much to have any good idea of what she will look like in the cage. I also think she didn't show clear improvements in her fights between 2017-2019. She was good but she was fighting cans mostly and she looked much the same from fight to fight. I think she was lucky to get the decision win in her last fight as well, I thought that should at least have been a draw as she got the **** beat out of her in rd2 which should have been a 8-10 and the first round was very close and could have been scored either way.

This situation brings to mind Natalia Silva vs Jazzy J for me. I had a bet on Silva because she was a huge dog (+200 or more) despite looking good on tape and showing clear signs of rapid improvements. She had been out for a couple of years and was very young. When you see a young fighter rapidly improving and they haven't fought for a few years but are entering their prime that's an interesting spot.

In this case Martinez is a decent favorite on the line so it's impossible to bet her pretty much.
